A Personal Testimony

By March 2025 I was desperate. My 17-year network marketing career had ended. No income. No clear next step. And God told me to start a Facebook group about writing a book, when I had never written one.

I did not understand it. But I obeyed.

GOD, I WANT TO HEAR YOU was birthed over the next year. And now God is leading me to gather a small group of believers who are ready to birth their book alongside me as I birth my next.

A Biblical Story

Habakkuk was a prophet who was frustrated and waiting. He was crying out to God. Lord, are You even listening? Are You going to do anything? He climbed to his watch post, got still, and waited to see what God would say.

God answered him.

Not with an explanation. With an instruction.

Write it down.

Engrave it plainly.

What I am giving you is real. It is for an appointed time and it will not be late. Write it clearly enough that the one who picks it up can run with it.

Habakkuk did not have all the answers. He just had an assignment.

So do you.

Two Paths

Habakkuk had a choice. He could stay in chapter one, frustrated, crying out, overwhelmed by what he could not understand or control. Or he could do what chapter two shows us he did. He climbed the wall. He got still. He positioned himself to hear. And when God spoke, he wrote it down.

Path One

It stays inside you.

The story you were meant to tell stays inside of you. Your testimony never has the impact it was intended to have. The book that was meant to encourage, equip, deliver, or set someone free never makes it to the printed page.

Path Two

You birth it.

You climb the wall like Habakkuk. You fast, pray, and listen. You surrender your fear and your timing to God. And with support, with a framework, and with others walking this journey with you, you write it down and bring it to life.

Pre-recorded teaching videos. Uploaded to our private Facebook group throughout the Cohort. Watch on your own time. Rewatch as needed.
Monday Live Zoom (30 minutes at 11am CST). Live discussion, Q&A, and activation of what you are learning. The energy of being live with me and the other writers.
Tuesday through Thursday Daily Posts. In our private Facebook group. Encouragement, prompts, scripture, framework reminders, prayer.
Friday Live Q&A. I go live in our Facebook group to answer your questions from the week.

Across nine weeks I will walk you through the complete God Story Method, including the framework for hearing God from my book GOD, I WANT TO HEAR YOU along with the additional frameworks God has given me for moving from a stirring in your heart to a manuscript in your hands.

Self Assessment

God honors your honesty. He already knows where you are. There is no judgment here, just an invitation to be real with yourself and with Him about what is inside you and what has been keeping it there.

Open your journal or the notes on your phone and answer these questions honestly.

Question 01

What has God put inside of me? What experience have I had that needs to be shared with the world? What situation, circumstance, season, or maybe even a trauma that I have overcome that God is calling me to write down so others can read it and be encouraged, equipped, delivered, set free, or maybe even have their life completely transformed? Write it down. Give it a name.

Question 02

On a scale of 1-10, how ready am I to birth this book? One being absolutely not ready. Ten being I am scared but yes, I am all in and ready to write my book.

Question 03

If my readiness to birth my book is low, why? What is holding me back? Is it the fear of not knowing how to do it? Or the fear of what others will think or say? Is it the fear of me not doing it right? Or is it the fear of me not having the money to invest in getting the guidance to write my book and publish it? Write down everything that comes to mind as reasons I am not all in to birth my book.

Question 04

If I do not write this book, who are those who will not be inspired, encouraged, equipped, delivered, or set free? Whose lives will never be transformed because I was unwilling to get uncomfortable and do the hard thing. Write my book. Tell my story.

Take Action

You have just identified what God has placed inside of you, where you are in your readiness to birth it, what is holding you back, and who is waiting on the other side of your obedience.

Now there is only one thing left to do.

Pray. Ask God if the GOD STORY Cohort is for you. If you feel led, say yes and secure your spot.

Heavenly Father,

You know what is inside of me. You placed it there. You know the story I carry, the testimony I have lived, and the people You want to reach through my surrender and obedience to You.

Lord, I confess that fear has kept me from moving forward. Fear of not knowing how. Fear of what others will think. Fear of not doing it right. Fear of not having what it takes. Forgive me for letting fear have more authority in my life than Your calling.

Right now I release every excuse and every barrier to You. I choose obedience over fear. I choose to trust that You would not place something inside of me without also providing everything I need to birth it.

Father, I ask You clearly and specifically, is the GOD STORY Cohort for me? Is this my season? Is this the group, the time, and the opportunity You have been preparing me for?

I commit to listening for Your answer. And I commit to obeying whatever You say.

Results Disclaimer

Completion and publication of your book will be your responsibility. This cohort offers coaching, Q&As with a published author, templates, and frameworks for you to do the work yourself with encouragement through the process.

About Your Coach

Tracie Bonds is a Christian author, speaker, biblical mindset coach, and host of The Daily Prayer Call. As founder of GOD STORY Coaching and 12 Stones Press, she helps believers PRAY. LISTEN. and OBEY. as they bring to life what God wants to birth through them.

Tracie built a 17-year career in network marketing, earning over $12 million in commissions before stepping into her current calling as an author and biblical mindset coach. Over the last 20 years, she has invested close to a hundred thousand dollars learning how to write, speak, sell, and communicate, including a $20,000 engagement with Scribe Media in Austin, Texas, writing workshops in Atlanta, online writing courses, stage training, and sales coaching. All of that experience informs how she teaches, but what she brings to this Cohort is the God Story Method, the Spirit-led framework God revealed to her as she wrote her own book.

Tracie is a single mother to three amazing adult children who love and serve Jesus, and Grams to her grandchildren. She lives in Franklin, Tennessee.
